2017 Toyota Sequoia vs 2017 Nissan Armada
Big sport utility vehicles have begun to decline in popularity over the past few years as a result of the crossover segment’s increase in popularity. There are still quite a few on the market, but there aren’t as many as there once was. In the full-size SUV segment, the Toyota Sequoia is still a great option, and we wanted to show that by pitting it against one of its remaining competitors. To do that, we decided to compare the 2017 Toyota Sequoia vs 2017 Nissan Armada.
Advantages of the 2017 Toyota Sequoia
The table up above highlights four of the most important aspects to vehicles in the full-size SUV segment, detailing the specifications for each vehicle. We thought we’d dive right in at the top and work our way through it, starting with horsepower. Unfortunately, the Armada offers 9 extra horsepower than the Sequoia. That’s not a huge advantage, but it will definitely give a leg up in with operating with a full vehicle, be it passengers, cargo or a mix of both. Additionally, the second row shows that Armada also delivers superior fuel efficiency, as the Nissan SUV utilizes 1.3 l/100km less combined fuel efficiency. That means it’ll save you a bit of money at the pump over time.
As unfortunate as these disadvantages are, the Sequoia fires back with the second half of the table. If you’re getting a big time SUV like the Sequoia or Armada, chances are it’s because you want a lot of space. And the Sequoia has space in spades. Behind the back row alone it offers an extra 2.4 cubic feet of space for you to fill with luggage or whatever you need to bring along on trips with you. But then you can drop the seats down to open up 120.1 cu. ft. of space, which is 34.7 cu. ft. more than the Armada. That means when you ened to fill the whole car with stuff, the Toyota is definitely the better bet.
