In our opinion one of the most-anticipated vehicles at the moment is the recently unveiled 2018 Toyota C-HR in Edmonton AB. Obviously, we’re a little biased, but we think the innovatively unique crossover is one of the most exciting vehicles we’ve seen in quite some time. Offering a visual aesthetic unlike anything Toyota has ever made available, and perhaps different from anything that’s ever been available on the market as a whole, the Toyota C-HR breathes a breath of fresh air into the segment.
Back when we were first introduced to the C-HR, we thought it was just another incredible concept that was a little too ambitious to actually amount to a real model. But then last year, Toyota gave the concept to Scion and we began to get hopeful. When Scion’s doors were first closed, we were worried it would be the end of it, but we’re happy to be able to say we were wrong, as it will officially be released as a 2018 model sometime late next year.
Specs & Features of the 2018 Toyota C-HR
With a style reminiscent of a diamond, the vehicle evokes a sense of luxury just with its presence. But the incredible features both inside and outside add to that effect, bringing the luxury feel to reality. It doesn’t just feel or look luxurious, but also futuristic, which is sure to appeal to the younger buyers that no longer have Scion catering to them.
It’s not quite as powerful as we might’ve liked, but a subcompact crossover like this doesn’t necessarily need all that big of a bite. Powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, it’s capable of doling out 144 horsepower alongside 239 pound-feet of torque. Its continuously variable transmission gives it a sense of seamless shifting as well.
While we don’t know about at efficiency at this point, safety features are often looked at as just as important. The C-HR will be equipped with the superior Toyota Safety Sense P package, which includes all of the driver-assistive TSS features. As more details about specs & features and other C-HR information comes to light, we’ll be sure to fill you in on our blog, so stay glued to our website.
