2017 Toyota Sienna vs 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
In our opinion, the minivan segment is on an upswing. While we don’t foresee it every reclaiming its former glory, there are still plenty of minivans on the market that make the perfect option for family drivers. In our opinion, the #SwaggerWagon is chief among them, but we thought we’d see how it measure up to the newest, and some say hottest minivan on the market by comparing the 2017 Toyota Sienna vs 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
Advantages of the 2017 Toyota Sienna
The table above collects information about some of the most important specifications to look at in a minivan. We wanted to go through the whole thing, right from the top, to give you the best idea possible of the differences and similarities between the two vehicles, so let’s start with the first row: horsepower. Power might not seem that important in a minivan, but with all of the weight from extra people and cargo, most power is certainly needed. Not to mention that you want to have at least a little fun behind the wheel, so the extra 9 horsepower that the Sienna offers is definitely a plus.
But fuel efficiency is where things are really important, so we looked at both city and highway efficiencies. Through city streets, the Sienna has the advantage, as it utilizes 0.7 litres less fuel to drive the same 100 kilometres as the new Chrysler Pacifica. But the Pacifica fires back, by utilize 0.3 l/100km less fuel on the highway. The Sienna’s advantage in the city is obviously steeper, but if you’re going to be doing most of your driving on the highway, than it’s up to you.
Lastly, cargo capacity. When you have a vehicle packed with up to 8 people, you want to make sure you have enough space to hold all of their stuff as well. That’s why the extra 6.8 cubic feet of space behind the Sienna’s back seat is so important. If these advantages add up to the perfect minivan for you, then be sure to schedule a test drive right here on our website or by giving us a call at the sales desk.
