2017 Toyota Corolla vs 2017 Honda Civic
Perhaps one of the biggest rivalries on the market is the one between Toyota and Honda, and more specifically between the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Both are compact sedans with decades on the road under their belts, and reputations as some of the most popular vehicles on the globe, or at the very least here in Canada. We wanted to see how the two newest versions measure up to one another, so we decided to compare the 2017 Toyota Corolla vs 2017 Honda Civic.
Advantages of the 2017 Toyota Corolla
The table above takes a look at four assorted aspects of the two sedans that we thought might give you a better idea of how the two vehicles fare against one another. For the first row, we looked at the lowest-priced Corolla from right here at Wheaton Toyota on the Trail and the lowest-priced Honda Civic at our sibling company Wheaton Honda to figure out which sedan has the lower starting price. Turns out, the least expensive 2017 Toyota Corolla is available for $1,052 less than the cheapest 2017 Honda Civic.
In today’s market, safety features are some of the most important things in a vehicle. Everyone wants the best safety features so they can feel confident when they get behind the wheel, and each of these vehicles offer their own suite of safety features. In the Corolla, you get Toyota Safety Sense, which offers things like a Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beams among others, while the Civic offers Honda Sensing, which has its own suite of features.
The third row shows leg room in the back seat, which is especially important if you have tall friends and family members. The extra 4 inches of space in the back seat mean whoever sits back there will have more room to stretch out their legs, especially important for those taller passengers. The final row depicts fuel capacity, which might not sound like a big deal. But having room for an extra 0.8 gallons of fuel means you won’t have to stop as often on road trips or fill up as often through the week.
