2017 Toyota Corolla and Corolla iM in Edmonton AB
Perhaps the most popular and recognizable model on the Toyota lineup, besides possibly the Camry, is the Toyota Corolla. It was originally introduced in 1966 and has been going strong ever since, being remodeled for eleven generations throughout its decades-long lifespan, and it isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. With the vehicle’s 50th anniversary in mind, Toyota unveiled the newest version of the vehicle at the New York International Show after giving it a bit of a makeover. Thus we introduce to you the 2017 Toyota Corolla in Edmonton AB, as well as the Toyota Corolla iM hatchback!
Specs & Features of the 2017 Toyota Corolla
The Corolla just entered its eleventh generation in 2013, so it wasn’t quite time for a total overhaul. But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t benefit from some new design cues and updated content inside and out, which is precisely why Toyota decided to give it a makeover. Toyota hasn’t detailed what changed cosmetically, but if you compare the image above with the previous model it’s fairly easy to tell the differences.
What’s truly exciting is some of the new standard features found within the vehicle – namely, the new Toyota Safety Sense package. Toyota Safety Sense packages technologies like the Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert into one suite of technologies, making the safest Corolla possible for today’s market.
Toyota has mentioned that the interior has been upgraded and redesigned as well, featuring updates and enhancements that make the cabin both more convenient and comfortable. A 6.1” display audio screen sits at the center of the dashboard, and an available Premium Audio package can deliver concert-quality audio right inside the cabin.
While there is still plenty of information we’d like to know, Toyota hasn’t released a ton of information on the new model’s specifications or features. We have heard a rumor that the former Scion iM will be coming over as a special edition of the Corolla, rather than as a completely new model, though information on that has remained tightly-sealed as well.
