2016 Toyota RAV4 vs 2016 Chevy Trax
Brand new vehicles are introduced every year, but how do they measure up to some of the vehicles that have been around for decades? The RAV4 has been around for more than twenty years in a segment that has progressively become more and more popular. Just a couple of years ago, Chevy introduced a new vehicle to the segment, so how does it measure up against our favorite compact crossover? We thought we’d find out by comparing the 2016 Toyota RAV4 vs 2016 Chevy Trax.
Advantages of the 2016 Toyota RAV4
Looking at the table above, it becomes pretty obvious that the Toyota RAV4 offers superior specifications in multiple areas. Starting from the top, the Chevy Trax gives up 38 horsepower to the RAV4, which is quite a bit. Having a boost in power means the Toyota will deliver a more enjoyable driving experience every time you get behind the wheel. But power isn’t the only advantages the RAV4 has, as it also offers an abundance of space not found in the Trax.
Behind the back row, the Toyota RAV4 offers 38.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity, which is nearly 20 cu. ft. more than the Chevy Trax offers. Both vehicles allow the back seat to drop down and open up even more space for cargo. The Trax adds almost 30 cu. ft. to its max cargo capacity, but it still gives up 25.0 cu. ft. to the RAV4’s 73.4 cu. ft. As for passengers, once again the RAV4 trumps the Trax, as it offers roughly an extra 30 cu. ft.
