April has been an exciting month filled with new information regarding the 2019 model year. Late last month, at the New York International Auto Show, two all-new vehicles were introduced and a third was announced online. While we started covering them at the tail end of March, we've really been able to dig in and give you the juicy details regarding these three vehicles all month long. We're excited to see what else Toyota has in store for the 2019 model year, but before then we thought we'd dive a little deeper into the specs & features of the Yaris sedan.

Performance & Efficiency
Last time we remained focused on highlighting what's new in the Yaris sedan, but this time we thought we'd zone in on some of the important specifications and features found throughout the vehicle. For starters, its performance and efficiency specs. Powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine tethered to a 6-speed automatic transmission, the Yaris isn't going to be winning many races with its 106 horsepower. But what it lacks in power it makes up in efficiency, offering 7.3 l/100km through city streets and an incredible 5.8 l/100km on the highway. Sub out that 6AT for a 6-speed manual and those numbers change to 7.8 l/100km and 6.0 l/100km, but you get a sportier feel.
Safety
Of course, safety is one of if not the most important aspect of almost any vehicle these days. The 2019 Yaris is packed with great features that include Dynamic Stability Control, Brake Assist, Anti-Lock Brakes, and even a Brake Over-Ride System. As for driver-assistive technologies, it's outfitted with the Low-Speed Pre-Collision System.
