For many years folks have been saying the minivan segment is dead, and for the past few - in other words, since we started this blog - we've been saying that the Swagger Wagon proves that's not quite the case. While there might not be as many minivans as there once was, there are still quite a few great options out there, and the 2018 Toyota Sienna is one of them. Today we thought we'd highlight the performance & efficiency that the Sienna, which, as you may have gathered, is also known as the Swagger Wagon, has to offer.
Power
One of the most surprising things about the Swagger Wagon is just how powerful it is. Beneath the hood of the vehicle is a 3.5L V6 engine capable of doling out a whopping 296 horsepower, which is more than enough to cart around a car full of people and cargo while also delivering an enjoyable experience on the road. Furthermore, the 2018 Sienna's suspension system and steering were tuned for sport to deliver enhanced handling and stability.
Fuel Economy
Not only is the engine packed with power though, but it's also surprisingly efficient for such a large, powerful vehicle. The fuel efficiency varies depending on trim level, but the entry-level Sienna achieves 12.5 l/100km through city streets and 8.9 l/100km on the highway. Obviously, that's not the most efficient vehicle on the market, but it is quite efficient for a minivan knocking on the door with 300 horsepower.
