Each year, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada runs an even that they have dubbed the EcoRun. 

This AJAC event is always a great place for automotive manufacturers to showcase their eco-friendly vehicles, and a wide range of different types of automobiles show up - including all-electric cars, pure hybrids, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, plug-in hybrids, diesel-fuel options, and even some regular gas-powered models that happen to be extremely efficient. For Toyota this year, we'll be entering the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid and Prius Prime.

What's the point of the event?

The EcoRun provides a great place to drum up attention for specific vehicles, which is certainly one of the reasons so many manufacturers enter vehicles each year. It is also a great place to discover accurately tested fuel economy numbers, which are done on real-world road conditions right at the event! For Toyota, their goal is to showcase that Toyota is not only building eco-friendly vehicles but vehicles that can be both efficient and fun to drive.
