Driver-assistive safety features aren’t just becoming more and more prevalent each and every year, but also more advanced. The more that technologies improve, the more advanced the safety features manufacturers employ in their vehicles become. That’s how something like Bird’s Eye View is possible, giving drivers an almost complete 360-degree view of their car’s surroundings at any given moment. We wanted to focus on Toyota’s Bird’s Eye View for this week’s How’s This Work, but we don’t think we’d be able to explain it as well as hearing it straight from the horse’s mouth. So watch the video below, and if you have any questions feel free to give us a call here at the sales desk.

Used 2011 Ford Taurus For Sale Edmonton AB
The past couple of weeks we’ve been looking at luxury vehicles, so we thought we’d take a step back from these more expensive premium vehicles for this week’s Used Car Spotlight. But instead of stepping all the way down to an inexpensive vehicle without any oomph, we thought we’d bridge the gap by taking a pit-stop at the Ford brand’s flagship sedan. Flagship sedans are a brand’s top-of-the-line, full-size sedan, and the one we’re talking about is a used 2011 Ford Taurus that’s currently for sale here in Edmonton AB.

This used 2011 Ford Taurus is currently available for $18,988, which is including a nice discount of $912. The first thing you’ll probably notice about this vehicle is that it has nearly 111,000 kilometres on its odometer. That’s a bigger number than we usually like to highlight, but considering this Taurus has been on the road for roughly 8 years, it’s clocked in just below the national annual average – so it hasn’t been overused. It still has plenty of time left on the road ahead of it, so read on if you think you might still be interested
’11 Ford Taurus Specs & Features
While it might not be as powerful as the brand’s muscle car, as it is a flagship sedan the Ford Taurus always packs a powerful punch. This 2011 Taurus is powered by a 3.5L V6 Ecoboost engine that’s capable of doling out 365 horsepower while still achieving pretty decent fuel efficiency. Its all-wheel drive system and 6-speed select-shift transmission both add to its impressive performance capabilities, but that’s not all it has to offer.
The 2011 Taurus is also equipped with things like alloy wheels, remote start, leather-trimmed upholstery, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, Ford Sync, heated and cooled seats and a sunroof. We’ve only scratched the surface here, so if you think you might be interested, make sure to schedule a test drive and come see everything else for yourself.

If you’ve ever been shopping for a vehicle of any kind, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of a feature called a differential. If you’ve seen this word before and have been curious as to what exactly it means, you’re in luck – because weren’t going to cover this important feature in this week’s How’s This Work!
[ LAST WEEK: How do heated, cooled and ventilated seats work? ]
What is a differential?
For starters, we’ll give you a general definition of what a differential is. It’s a mechanical device called a gear train, outfitted with three different shafts in which one of the shafts has the average angular velocity of the other two shafts angular velocities. Yeah, that’s a confusing sentence. When it comes to vehicles, the differential is a device that’s quite important to allowing you to make turns.
Let us explain. If you have a rear wheel drive vehicle, your vehicle has two drive wheels. In order for you to make a turn, each of those back wheels need to turn at different speeds, because one wheel has to travel a further distance than the other. But wheels on the same axle turn the same speed, so you need a differential in order to let those wheels rotate at different speeds.
Without the differential equipped, your inside wheels will spin to fast as you make a turn. This could not only result in wear and tear on your tires, but also hinder your handling. Make sure that your vehicle has a differential by giving us a call at the sales desk.
