It’s time to bring you everything you need to know about the third and final member of the 2019 Toyota TRD Pro lineup: the 4Runner. While it’s no longer the only sport utility vehicle on the overall Toyota lineup with a Toyota Racing Development trim level, it’s still the only SUV with a TRD Pro grade. We’re extremely excited to get our hands on the newest Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro at its release date this summer, so we thought we’d give you some of the details on what it has to offer.
What’s new in the 2019 4Runner TRD Pro?
While it doesn’t have anything quite as game-changing as the Tacoma’s TRD Desert Air Intake, there is plenty to get excited about in the 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. Of course, the first new feature we can cover in the 4Runner is its Fox shocks, which were added to ever TRD Pro model this year. For the 4Runner, the 2.5” shocks combine with the TRD-tuned front springs for an extra inch of both front lift and wheel travel.
Exclusive to the 4Runner is a unique TRD-branded roost shield, which improves how much protection is delivered to the inverted shock design found in the vehicle’s rear. Another feature exclusive to the 4Runner is its new roof rack, which makes up for the missing truck bed that its TRD siblings have.
Of course, the 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro is packed with plenty of other great features and design cues that it shares with the whole line, like a host of safety features, TRD Pro floor mats, shift knob, and logos on the front seats. LED lights, and even the TOYOTA grille. If you’re interested in your own model, be sure to stay glued to find out when it becomes available here in Edmonton AB.
