2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Canadian Release Date

Earlier today on the 8th of February 2018, Toyota held its press conference for the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. It was a pretty exciting one, as they introduce an all-new lineup of TRD Pro Series models for the 2019 model year. While we're stoked about the whole lineup, our favorite is without a doubt the 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, because we know how excited you all get about the midsize, light-duty truck. Today we want to cover some of the changes and new features found in the truck so that you can get just as pumped as we are for its Canadian release date this fall!

One major change that came to the entire lineup is the addition of 2.5" Fox Internal Bypass shocks, leading to a far superior suspension system over previous TRD Pro models. The shocks are tuned to each specific model that they're equipped to, thus delivering the optimal suspension for that vehicle, and enhancing the off-road experience for them all.

What's new in the Tacoma TRD Pro Series?

This year, the Tacoma TRD Pro Series builds on what's available in the Tacoma TRD Off-Road. It adds the shocks mentioned above, of course, but also TRD-tune springs for an additional inch of lift up front, an increase in sway bar size, a front skid plate with the TRD emblem in red, and a black-chrome-tipped cat-back exhaust when it comes to outside. On the interior, you'll find floor mats and leather-trimmed seats featuring TRD branding, as well as a standard moonroof for the first time!

Back on the outside, 16" black alloy wheels will be wrapped in P265/70R16 Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar All-Terrain tires, enhancing your tractions on the trail. You'll also have projector-beam headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights and Rigid Industries LED fog lights to make sure your adventure stays illuminated.

Finally, that brings us to the most exciting new feature found only in the 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. This year, the midsize truck will be equipped with a TRD Desert Air Intake extending from the hood to the roof. This is a glorious bonus for off-road enthusiasts, as it will lead to long-term health improvements for your filter and the engine overall.
