It has now become official, the exciting and impressive Toyota Prius Prime will be joining the 2018 model year and expanding its market across Canada. As we informed you a few months ago, the Prius Prime started with a test market in Quebec. Well, over the course of the 7-month test period, over 700 Prius Prime models were sold. That’s a pretty successful test, so Toyota Canada has decided to release the 2017 World Green Car across the country.

We thought we’d just quickly touch on the Prius Prime plug-in hybrid’s efficiency and range once more, to remind you of just how incredible this machine is. You know it must be quite efficient to earn a title like World Green Car, and it certainly is. Combined across city and highway driving, it achieves an equivalent of 1.8 l/100km on a full battery charge and can travel over 1,000 kilometres on one charge accompanied by a full tank of gas.
