As you’re probably well aware of by now, the 2018 Toyota Camry will be completely new when it arrives at the dealership later this year. One of the first models to fully adopt the Toyota New Global Architecture, the new midsize sedan will be better looking than ever before and packed with all of the features that you want and need in a vehicle. We thought we’d highlight some of what’s new in the sedan specifically, to give you a better idea of what has changed.
“The eighth-generation Camry is completely transformed around the Toyota New Global Architecture – resulting in sleeker, sportier styling, a lower centre of gravity for more dynamic handling, and improved fuel efficiency. We’ve then added an impressive cabin, with premium materials, features and technologies – including Entune connected technology – to create a truly outstanding sedan.”
– Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc.
Connectivity
For the first time in a Canadian Toyota, the 2018 Camry will feature in-vehicle connectivity services. Standard across the lineup, the Camry will offer Entune 3.0 Audio which will include things like Entune App Suite Connect, Scout GPS Link and more.
Design
The design has changed quite a bit, introducing a much sleeker and sportier style as Dimitris stated above. The front fascia will have distinctive upper and lower grilles set apart by standard LED headlamps.
Powertrains
Not including the Hybrid options, the Camry will feature two different powertrain options. A more efficient 2.5L 4-cylinder will generate 203 horsepower – or 206 on the XSE trim level – and a 3.5L V6 will offer 301 hp.
Of course, these bits of information only begin to scratch the surface of what the 2018 Toyota Camry will offer when it arrives. So if you have further questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call or sign up to receive updates periodically as the release date draws closer.
