While the norm used to be three meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner – the lines have gotten blurry through the years. Certain diets might call for you to have six smaller meals, or some maybe two bigger meals. Some people just eat whenever they want to. No matter what your reasoning, if you’re looking for places to get brunch on the weekend, we’ve got a few ideas for you right here in Edmonton.
Not only does Sugarbowl have a pretty awesome website, but they’ve got a pretty incredible menu as well. With tons of options for their 7-hour brunch period, including classics like Huevos Rancheros and chicken & waffles, it makes the ultimate destination for any brunch goer. Not to mention the fact that they’ve got some pretty great alcoholic beverages as well, including an extensive beer list.
Another great choice – especially trying something called a pannekoeken sounds interesting to you – is De Dutch. While they’ve got locations all over British Columbia, they’ve also got a location at 10030 Jasper Avenue right here in Edmonton. With a great breakfast and lunch menu, plus their special pannekoeken choices, De Dutch makes a great brunch location for you and your friends to consider.
One final choice is the Urban Diner, a modern spin on the classic diner formula. Like De Dutch, they don’t have a brunch-specific menu but they do call their 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday blocks brunch. So, choose from a wide variety of breakfast and lunch choices and have yourself a wonderful brunch.
Hopefully these choices are enticing and give you the brunch experience you’re looking for.
