2017 Toyota Corolla iM Specs & Features
Earlier this year, it was announced that the ill-fated Scion iM would get another chance, but this time as the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM. With the closing of Scion’s doors, Toyota executives wanted to keep the popular models on as rebadged Toyota models, and they thought that adding the always-popular Corolla nameplate to the iM would give it that extra oomph that it needed. Now that the vehicle has been completely unveiled and is even available here in Edmonton, we can fill you in on some of the model’s juiciest details.

“We’re pleased to add the Corolla iM to the Toyota lineup and broaden the Corolla family for 2017. This spirited, stylish hatchback is an urban, sporty vehicle, ready to bring joy to the young and young at heart.”
– Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc.
What’s different in the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM?
The most obvious difference between the regular 2017 Toyota Corolla and the new Corolla iM, is that the iM is essentially a Corolla hatchback. Offering a similar style to the regular Corolla and many of the same specs and features, the Corolla iM gives drivers the added bonus of extra cargo capacity in its hatchback cargo hold.
As for what’s different in the Corolla iM from the previous Scion iM, the biggest advantage of being a part of the Toyota lineup – aside from name value – is the addition of Toyota Safety Sense. The Corolla iM comes standard with the TSS C package, which includes the Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beams.
