Halfway through November, Christmas is quickly starting to grow closer and closer. Now just over 5 weeks away, it’s time to start getting in the spirit of the holidays. Between shopping for the best gifts and decorating your tree, be sure to spend some time taking in all of the beautiful sights. Snow might be an annoying side effect of the winter season, but when you throw in some flawless decoration and light displays, you get a beautiful picture. We’ve compiled a list of three displays we can’t wait to hit this year.
DBA Holiday Light Up
Likely the biggest and most well-known Christmas light event in Edmonton is the DBA Holiday Light Up, also known as Christmas on the Square. Every year, well over 10,000 Edmontonians fill Churchill Square downtown for a day of live music, dancing, local food trucks, shopping, a special visit from Santa Claus, and of course the lighting of the giant Christmas tree. The event kicks off at 4:00 p.m. and will run through 7:00.
All is Bright on 124
Another big time even filled with live performances and plenty of fun activities, plus plenty of lighting up and decorating, is the All is Bright Festival on 124. All of the businesses on 124th street get together to light up their store fronts and put on a fun festival for plenty of Edmontonians. The event kicks off at 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, the 19th, and will run until 9:00.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
Perhaps one of the coolest events that you can be a part of, is the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. A beautifully-decorated train that makes its way from Montreal, Quebec all the way to British Columbia, it’ll be making thee stops in the area to not only spread its awesome lights and decorations, but to put on a show with outstanding musical talent, including Dallas Smith and Odds. Check out the website for specific details, but it’ll be stopping in Leduc on December 7th, and then Josephburg and right here in Edmonton on the 8th.
However you spend your holiday season, we simply hope you have a wonderful time. Everyone here at Go Honda would like to wish you an early Happy Holidays!
