Bissell Centre Drop Your Gonch Campaign
We here at Toyota on the Trail have built a relationship with the Bissell Centre, because we believe in their cause and want to help in any way we can. Now, we’re reaching out to you for help again, just like we did over the winter with the Bundle Up for Bissell Donation Box. We’re getting the word out a bit late, as tomorrow is the final day to reach our goal, so we – and the Bissell Centre – really need your assistance in hitting the mark in the Drop Your Gonch Campaign!

What is Drop Your Gonch?
For the Bundle Up the Bissell campaign, we were asking for winter clothes, jackets and accessories to keep the homeless warm throughout the winter. This time, we’re asking for something that is not only essential to someone’s health, but to their hygiene, comfort and even dignity as well. The Bissell Centre’s goal is to collect over 2,000 pairs of brand-new underwear for the Edmonton homeless population by tomorrow evening, as it is one of the most requested yet least donated items in the community.
How to Donate
By following the link above, you can help through monetary donations. Every $15 donated represents 5 new pairs of underwear, bringing us closer to our goal of 2,000. If you’d rather pick up new underwear yourself, then you can drop off your donations at several locations across town, including right here at Go Toyota on the Trail. Other locations: 3 Leaf Wellness Centre, On the Rocks, The Briefing Room, Sandwich & Sons, KEYLIME Athletic Wear, Thrift Shoppe, Bissell Centre East or the South Side Drop-off at 5120 122 Street.
The Main Event
The main event of the campaign will be taking place tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., right here at Go Toyota on the Trail – 5210 Calgary Trail. Not only will we be hosting a huge barbecue, but you’ll be able to win great prizes by donating underwear, as each pair you deliver gets you once chance at Plinko!
We hope to see you here tomorrow, but don’t hesitate to drop off underwear early or make monetary donations beforehand if you can’t make it.
