What is the Toyota eBin?
Technology has always been a major part of the automotive industry, and automobiles in particular. But the kinds of technologies and features found within vehicles are constantly changing and enhancing. The past couple of years, technology features in the cabin have begun leaning more and more towards enabling the use of outside technology. For instance, things like Bluetooth capability, auxiliary inputs and USB ports. A couple of years ago, Toyota took things to the next level, introducing the Toyota eBin – a central hub for all of your outside technologies. But what exactly is it, and more importantly… how’s it work?

How does the Toyota eBin work?
The center console has long been a hub for both technology and simply holding all of your odds and ends. The Toyota eBin combines both of those by providing a small, stow-away tray that is the perfect size to hold your mobile devices. Featuring two 12-volt power outlets, an auxiliary audio jack and a USB port, it is the perfect place to store your devices while they charge, keeping you from texting-and-driving while also concealing cords and the like.
Higher trim levels in vehicles like the 2016 Toyota Avalon enhance the eBin even further by upgrading the storage tray with Qi wireless charging – meaning your Qi-enabled devices will charge without even needing to bring a cord along. No matter what vehicle or trim level you’re driving, the Toyota eBin is a great feature that helps keep your technologies charged while allowing your center console to remain organized without clutter.
