What to do for Father’s Day Edmonton AB
Not too long ago we celebrated our mothers and thanked them for everything they do for us, but in just a few short weeks it’ll be that special old man in our lives’ turn to feel appreciated. June 19th – which is the date for Father’s Day in 2016 – is fast approaching, in fact we’re less than a month away now. So if you’re wondering what to do for Father’s Day in Edmonton AB, we’ve got a couple of great ideas for you to check out here in town.
Celebration Church Show & Shine Car Show
Perhaps one of the coolest events for Father’s Day 2016 is the Show & Shine Car Show at Celebration Church. Kicking off at 10:00 a.m. on the 19th and lasting until 3:00 p.m., the Show & Shine Car Show is a completely free event with a couple of Father’s Day-specific programs throughout the day. It’s a great event so spend time with Dad and check out some of the coolest cars in Edmonton, so don’t miss it!
Father’s Day BBQ
If you think dad would also be interested in a good, old-fashioned barbecue after the car show and aren’t afraid to pay a little bit of cash for the day’s proceedings, then we recommend checking out the Father’s Day BBQ at Fort Edmonton Park! Tickets officially went on sale today for the event, which will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – which is right after that Show & Shine at Celebration Church.
Pre-Father’s Day Single Malt Event
Thinking about attending both of the events above but still want to squeeze something else in? Well don’t worry, because the pre-Father’s Day Single Malt Event actually takes place on June 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Take dad to Wine and Beyond for a night of learning about and sipping Scotch – in particular, two of the finest single malts in the world: Glenfiddich and The Balvenie.
Whatever you decide to do for dad this Father’s Day, we hope that both you and he enjoys the day. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there from the whole Wheaton Toyota on the Trail family!
