2017 Toyota Highlander Canadian Release Date
Wednesday at the New York International Auto Show, Toyota debuted a significantly enhanced version of their popular midsize crossover. While many were hoping that Toyota would introduce a completely remodeled version at the major auto show, enthusiasts were just as excited about the news of a refreshed 2017 Toyota Highlander Canadian release date, and so are we. Details are still limited at this time, but we’ll dive into some of the specs & features that have been released thus far!
It was announced that the newest version of the Highlander will features a brand-new Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission, as well as new 3.5L V6 engine delivering more powerful than previous models. Exact horsepower, torque and other specifications haven’t yet been released, but we’ll give you an update as soon as we hear anything!
In the cabin, both the standard and hybrid versions of the Toyota Highlander have been completely upgraded to deliver a more luxurious look and feel, starting with an enhanced front fascia design – including both grilles and headlamp housings, unique to each trim level. The rear fascia will also be slightly updated, as the taillights and rear bumper will both receive new design cues.
Toyota Safety Sense
The biggest enhancement announced thus far is definitely the inclusion of the new Toyota Safety Sense suite of technologies and features. Including systems like Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert and many more, you’ll feel more confident behind the wheel than you ever have before. In addition to the TSS features, the 2017 Toyota Highlander will also feature Bird’s Eye View Monitor, another new system that includes Perimeter Scan – a first-time feature for Toyota which offers a live 360-degree scan of the vehicle’s surroundings.
