2017 Toyota C-HR Canadian Release Date
While we haven’t covered it much here on the Toyota on the Trail blogs, if you followed the Drive Go blog at all you would know what a roller coaster the C-HR concept has been through. Originally depicted as a Toyota concept car, it was then taken over by Scion and introduced as the next production vehicle the brand would unveil. Now with Scion being discontinued, the exciting crossover concept has reverted to its original brand, and will have a set 2017 Toyota C-HR Canadian release date later this year!

“We have already announced that a production model of the C-HR is coming this year – and since we know it will have widespread appeal, we will brand it as a Toyota. We’re delighted to give Canadian drivers their first look at the Toyota C-HR concept at the Salon international de l‘auto de Québec. With a compelling combination of driving dynamics and functionality, we’re confident that the C-HR will become an iconic vehicle in the Toyota lineup,” stated the Vice President of Toyota Canada Inc., Cyril Dimitris.
What We Know about the 2017 Toyota C-HR
The C-HR is one of the most unique- and innovative-looking vehicles we’ve ever seen, and we cannot wait for our chance to get inside the compact, high-ride height crossover to experience it for ourselves. Little is known about it at this point aside from its exterior aesthetic, and some of its interior design as well. The cabin, for instance, took inspiration from a sheer-sided diamond.
The exterior on the other hand features graphite-black accents in various places around the vehicle, like the grille, rear bumper, the flares on the fender and even the lower side panels. Additionally, the roof adopts a piano black coloring regardless of the exterior color, which in the case of the concept is a dark red. 21” wheels not only add to the imposing stature, but also help with the high ride height, and the unique wheel design adds to the innovative diamond-like design.
