What’s new with the 2016 Toyota RAV4?
Earlier this year, it was announced that the Toyota RAV4 would be getting a significant upgrade with the 2016 edition. Even though it isn’t quite out yet, we have found some pretty exciting details about the new features included with the 2016 Toyota RAV4. These new features might help you decide if the 2016 RAV4 is the perfect future vehicle for you.
It Comes as a Hybrid!
The new RAV4 comes in a hybrid option. The hybrid system is more powerful than the gas engine in the standard RAV4. The powertrain uses a 2.5-liter gas engine and two motor-generators. The fuel economy and horsepower hasn’t been announced yet, but we’re sure it’s impressive.
Advanced Safety Equipment
The 2016 RAV4 will be one of the first vehicles to have the Toyota Active Safety active-safety suite. This system includes forward collision warning with automatic braking. This vehicle will not only be powerful, but also safe.
Bird’s Eye Camera
The 2016 RAV4 will be the first Toyota vehicle to have an available Bird’s Eye 360-degree camera system. This camera offers a rotating 3D perimeter view mode to help drivers check for hazards all around the vehicle.
The 2016 RAV4 is predicted to have 55 percent more in-floor sound insulation and enhanced rubber door seals, which will make the interior significantly quieter on the road.
Shift it Yourself
The 2016 RAV4 will have the new SE trim level, which will not only have a new front fascia, new wheels and more aggressive suspension, but it will also add paddle shifters for the six-speed automatic transmission to help driver engagement.
These are just a few changes that you can look forward to with the new 2016 Toyota RAV4.
