The 2016 Toyota Prius made its debut at the Las Vegas World Premiere Event and it revealed some exciting changes and upgrades. For starters, the exterior of the Prius has been completely re-imagined. It is longer and sleeker with an overall athletic shape. The hood is also lower and the roof peak has been moved forward a bit to convey a feeling of forward motion. The Prius will also have new standard LED headlamps that minimizes the Prius’ front fascia and also provides a striking lighting display. It will also come in seven exterior colours including the all new Hypersonic Red.
The Toyota Prius also has improvements when it comes to efficiency and overall performance. It will have a 10 percent fuel economy improvement on core models. The 2016 Prius is predicted to have best-in-class fuel economy among vehicles without a plug. The new Prius model will also have new and improved performance capabilities. The new Prius is 2.4 inches longer, 0.6 inches wider and 0.8 inches lower than the model it will replace. This means it has more on-road presence and more occupant and cargo space. The all-new rear double wishbone suspension will produce better connection to the road which will provide better control and feedback in all driving conditions.
