Now that summer is finally here, it’s time to start planning what you’ll be doing this year on Canada Day. This year is the 148th Canada Day celebration. It is a day when the Constitution Act joined three provinces into one country. Many Canadian cities have their own festivals and events to celebrate this holiday. Canada Day at Edmonton Valley Zoo
One popular activity is Canada Day at Edmonton Valley Zoo. On July 1st, the zoo will be celebrating Canada Day and the zoo’s 56th birthday. There will be cupcakes, a scavenger hunt, air brushed tattoos, live music and more! The event will be taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Canada Day at Muttart Conservatory
Another fun event to participate in is Canada Day at Muttart Conservatory. It was take place on Wednesday, July 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with regular admission prices. There will be live music, Canada Day crafts and face painting, treats, activities and more! It is the perfect activity for the whole family to enjoy.
Canada Day at the Art Gallery of Alberta
If you know any crafty kids, they might enjoy a trip to the Art Gallery of Alberta on Canada Day. It will be open on Wednesday, July 1st from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. with free gallery admission. The whole family can enjoy a day full of art activities and a chance to view all of the gallery’s exciting exhibits.
