Toyota i-Road Concept Vehicle
The 2015 Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) is now in full swing and automotive companies are starting to reveal what they have been working on. While many of the vehicles at the auto show are upgrades of current models, there are also some more unique concept models. One of this new models is the Toyota i-Road concept vehicle. This one-of-a-kind vehicle is like nothing we’ve seen before.
The i-Road is a three-wheel vehicle that combines the styling and maneuverability of a motorcycle, but has the protection and comfort of a small car. The i-Road will be on display at the Toyota booth and will actually be in action in room 715 of the South building during public days. This new concept vehicle uses an active lean system that provides an exhilarating and responsive ride. It is very different from driving a car or a motorcycle, it is its own class of vehicle.
The inspiration for this vehicle came from the need for an environmentally friendly vehicle that is safe, exciting and compact. The i-Road accomplishes all of these things. It can overcome various obstacles as well as drive smoothly along the road and only takes up one quarter of a conventional parking space. It is also electrically powered with a driving range of 50 km on a single charge. It is also quiet and produces zero emissions. It’s a win-win with the i-Road.
Toyota is known for creating innovative and exciting new vehicles. The i-Road joins this long list of vehicles but it is probably the most unique one we’ve seen. If you are interested in seeing the i-Road concept in person, visit the CIAS Toyota booth. If you want to explore the current Toyota lineup, visit Toyota on the Trail in Edmonton AB.
